Welcome to the 58th edition of "Music From the World".
Tonight's broad cast is titled "Vikings and Valhalla", and features music from Scandinavia, The Baltic region and surrounding countries.
You will hear a surreal ethereal song from Iceland, a beautiful ballad by the Finnish Mistress of dark symphonic metal, Tarja Turinen; two really good bands from the Baltics, a Chilean-Danish sensation, a song from an album that was really popular in the US in 1975, a hauntingly dark symphonic folk metal song, and the most original modern Viking song I have ever heard; and more. Music in Icelandic, Finnish, Latvian, Estonian, Norwegian, Danish, English and Dutch.
