In May of 2011, the Ogeechee River experienced one of the largest fish kills in our state’s history. 38,000+/- fish were killed along with alligators, turtles, and birds over a 77-mile stretch of the river. Today, Riverkeeper & Executive Director of the Ogeechee Riverkeeper, Damon Mullis joins The Verb Altitude Hour from 8:00AM to 9:00AM on WRUU.org-107.5FM to talk about, "Milliken," formerly known as King America Finishing by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD). The EPD released a draft permit renewal for Milliken, which the output from this facility affects the Ogeechee River.
