Welcome to the 167th Episode of "Music from the World".

Each Friday at 5 PM EST, we take a fascinating journey around the globe to hear one of the most diverse music blends anywhere on earth, from International legends to rising stars. Like Forest Gump says my show is "like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get".

This week's journey starts with the legendary singer, dancer, and actor Maurice Chavalier, and a French crooner that sounds a lot like a mix between Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. The next leg of the journey takes us to Latin America for a multi Latin Grammy winning rocker performing with the Buenos Aires symphony. After a brief stop in Spain, we travel to Oregon for an American band that sings in 14 languages. Also appearing are: my favorite Vietnamese crooner, stunning Sarit Hadad from Israel, a duet with 2 popular Turkish pop stars, some psychedelic rock from Turkey, and Russian Dub-step from a great new artist.

As always, we will pick it up toward the end with a great Pakistani grunge rock band, and technical progressive metal from Serbia.

Tune in on July second at 5 PM for my annual "Patriots and Comrades" show with some of the most patriotic songs you will hear anywhere, complete with a history of the Star Spangled Banner.

Then on 9 July at 5 PM, I will present "The South Will Rise Again", with a great collection of classic Southern rock.

Then on 16 July at 5 PM, I will present "I Got the Blues"; Blues music from the USA and beyond.....
