Show 222 Russell Patterson and Ben Botham

Good friend and once upon a time intern, Ben Botham returns to the show to sling Magic from the mound. Ben finished his undergraduate at Savannah State and moved on to Georgia Southern to work on his Masters Degree in Public History.

He has been putting together a future display about the history of Baseball in Savannah, recognizing the great players and filling in stories from the days of Negro League Baseball.
The project will be on display at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum in Savannah Georgia.

Through his research he made contact with Savannah Native, Negro League and Indianapolis star
Russell "Crazy Legs" Patterson. Russell is a man of phenomenal character, independent and wise thinking, of great humbleness, humor, Accomplished coach at many levels and an inspiration to everyone that meets him.

We talked of Savannah in the 50's and 60's and his days of baseball.
We look forward to having Russell and Benjamin join us again in the Future.

You are in for a treat. Hold on to your seat, the stories whirl away and OhSea barks with delight.
