July 1, 2025: Change: Life is a Journey, not a Destination

According to the NYT, July 2 at noon is the midpoint of 2026.  VoR&R hosts Louis and Barbara celebrated this mid year's eve with a conversation about change.  It is always fun and entertaining when Louis joins the show and the recording is worth a listen.

From an ancient Greek philosopher came this:  the only constant is change.  If we accept that change is inevitable, how do we move forward from the good times to the bad and back again?

Think about where you are, how you have changed, and what that change means.  Have you spanned decades, centuries, millennia?    Change can come in slow motion (aka, it seems like nothing ever changes) or like a great storm.   Vladimir Lenin said, "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen."   These times are feeling like weeks when decades happen, and it is often difficult to keep pace or understand exactly what is happening or why.

Is this one-half year eve a time to celebrate the uncharted year ahead, reflect on the half-year (and decades, centuries, millennia gone by), a little of both, or none of the above?  Enjoy and embrace whatever you do.  Mid-year 2025 will never come again.
