Yes, it’s Christmas time and you just heard “Christmas Time Is Here” from my favorite TV Christmas special, 1965’s A Charlie Brown Christmas. This is the 2025 “well, That’s Show Biz!” Christmas show.
For our first set we start off with “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame. After that we will hear “Counting Down to Christmas” from A Christmas Story: The Musical. Then we will hear “Christmas Is My Favorite Time of Year” from Catch Me If You Can. And we will end the set with “Be A Santa” originally from the musical Subways Are For Sleeping, lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green, music by Jule Styne. Here’s “We Need a Little Christmas”.
It’s our 2025 Christmas show and you just heard “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame, “Counting Down to Christmas” from A Christmas Story: The Musical, “Christmas Is My Favorite Time of Year” from Catch Me If You Can, and “Be A Santa” from the musical Subways Are For Sleeping. Two interesting things about Subways Are For Sleeping, first, it didn’t do too well partly because the New York City Transit Authority refused to allow ads on its subways and buses because they were afraid that homeless people would accept the message in the title. And second, to try to fool customers, producer David Merrick invited people with the same names as noted critics to attend the show and then published their reviews to fool people into thinking that the real critics loved the show.

It’s Christmas Time and we begin our next set with “Turkey Lurkey Time” from the 2010 revival of Promises, Promises. If you’ve ever seen a video of this song you will understand why the dancers went to see chiropractors practically every day. We will follow that with “Twelve Days to Christmas” from the 2016 revival of She Loves Me. And we will end this set with “Sparklejollytwinklejingley” from Elf: The Musical. It’s “Turkey Lurkey Time”.
