Contemporary Classics January 13, 2026 Jasmine Barnes, Marty Regan and Mark Buller

Tonight onContemporary Classics, I am talking with composers Jasmine Barnes, Marty Regan and Mark Buller.  Jasmine Barnes who with the poet/libettist Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton composed the work “Revise”. Marty Regan composed the work Book of Names which includes a narration by George Takei.  And 
Mark Buller composed the work is String Quartet No. 6: FIREWALL.  These works  appear on the new album  of the Apollo Chamber Players entitled “BAN: Stories of Censorship” which combines seven provocative commissioned works each of which explores censorship in many forms in democratic and totalitarian societies.  This album was released this on Friday, August 22nd on Azica Records in a year that we have seen growing totalitarianism in our own democratic nation.
