  • You just heard “What Is This Feeling” from Wicked which sets up today’s theme. And what was that feeling? Loathing / Hatred. We will be playing songs today dealing with Hate.

  • Starting off our first set, we have Dorothy Louden, as Miss Hannigan, proclaiming her hatred of “Little Girls” from Annie. Then, Kelli O’Hara proclaims “I Hate Men” from Kiss Me, Kate !. We will follow that with “You’re No Good” from What Makes Sammy Run?. And we will end the set with Lee Remick wondering “Could I Leave You?” from Follies. Here’s “Little Girls”.

  • We have one additional song of Hatred after this set which begins with Barbara Cook screaming “Where’s My Shoe?” from She Loves Me. Then Kelli O’Hara, as Anna Leonowens, asks “Shall I Tell You What I Think of You” from The King and I. And then Julie Andrews is back to sing “Without You” from My Fair Lady. Just a reminder, don’t go away after this set as we have one last song. Here’s “Where’s My Shoe?”.

  • You just heard “Where’s My Shoe?” from She Loves Me, “Shall I Tell You What I Think of You” from The King and I, and “Without You” from My Fair Lady.

  • Hate can make fools of everyone including ourselves because it blocks out reason. No more is this more profound than in the story of Beauty and the Beast. Hate can lead to violence as exemplified in this, “The Mob Song”.

  • You just heard “The Mob Song” from Beauty and the Beast which concludes today’s show of songs about Hatred.
