• Midspring is Prom Season for high school juniors and seniors so today’s theme is dedicated to teens.

• We started the show with the song “13” from 13: The Musical as the lead character, Evan, enters his teen years and thus introduces our theme.

• For our first set for Teens, we begin with James Marsden introducing us to “The Nicest Kids In Town” from the film version of Hairspray. Then we’ll hear the teens of Sweet Apple, Ohio sharing a bit of news with “The Telephone Hour” from the film version of Bye Bye Birdie. And finally we will hear “Sincerely Me” from Dear Evan Hansen as Evan attempts to compose a series of emails. Here’s “The Nicest Kids In Town” from Hairspray.

• We are in the middle of prom season and schools are finishing up for the year so I thought it would be a good idea to have Teens be our theme today.

• For our third set we go back to 13: The Musical for the song “The Bloodmaster”. Then we will hear Megan Mullaly singing “Freddy, My Love” from the 1994 revival of Grease. We will follow that with the beautiful “Stay Gold” from the musical The Outsiders. And we will complete this set with “The New Girl in Town” from Hairspray.
