Savannah Music Local and Sustainable April 29, 2026 Tegan Miller- Spectra choir

Tonight on Savannah Music Local and Sustainable  I have back Tegan Miller to talk about the  upcoming Spectra choir concert on Saturday, May 2nd at 3 pm the Ashbury Memorial Church at 1008 E. Henry Street in Savannah.  This concert is titled "Phenomenal Women-  Six Triple Eight".  The Six Triple Eight is the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-black, all-female battalion, in World War II. Eight hundred and fifty-five black women  joined the war effort to address a three-year mail backlog to the troops. Despite discrimination and war-torn conditions, they sort over seventeen million pieces of mail ahead of schedule.
