Tonight on Contemporary Classics I am talking with composer Stacy Garrop, pianist Marta Aznavoorian and the Artistic Director of the Chicago Philharmonic Scott Speck about the album “Invictus” featuring Garrop’s piano concerto based on the William Ernest Henley poem “Invictus” paired with Garrop’s solo piano work, Joie de vivre. This album was released earlier this month on May 8 on Cedille Records.
