“There’s No Business Like Show Business” from the 1999 Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun starts us off for our show about “Show Biz!”. All of our songs today have something to do with Show Biz and we hit all different levels.
First, the company of actors, performing in a Victorian Era London Music Hall, invite you in with the song “There You Are” before entertaining you with The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Then we will hear “Dainty June and Her Farm Boys” performing from Gypsy. And we will end this set with Elaine Stritch performing “Broadway Baby” from the fabulous 1985 New York Philharmonic Concert Cast Recording of Follies. Here’s “There You Are”.

We will follow that with the flashback scene from On The Twentieth Century as producer Oscar Jaffe convinces his new protege, Lily Garland, to take on the role of “Veronique” in his new play. And we will conclude this set with Bonnie Franklin and the gypsies singing the title song from Applause. Here’s “Opening Night” from The Producers.
