Route 66 - January 3, 2019
Happy 2019!
Beginning tonight, we're taking a look back 25 years to albums that were originally released in 1994. Many of my favorite albums came out that year, so I thought we'd start off January by recognizing this 25th anniversary, and playing some selections that have stood the test of time.
Tonight I'm very excited to play the first two songs from "Throwing Copper" from the band Live. This album was released on April 26, 1994. If featured several hits that are still played today such as "Lightning Crashes" and "I Alone." It's an excellent group of songs that really works as a complete album with a beginning, middle and end. Every song is fantastic, so definitely give it a listen in it's entirety.
The album opens quietly with the somewhat mysterious "The Dam at Otter Creek" and builds quickly with the more powerful "Selling the Drama."
