Time to Abolish the War on Drugs

Drugs are big, big, big, business for those in the Prison Industrial Complex, after all making money is their priority. Today one quarter of all prisoners are incarcerated for drug offenses. The US declared a 'War in Drugs' in 1971 prohibiting manufacturing, sale and use of drugs such as Marijuana, heroin, peyote and LSD and limiting other drugs such as opium.

The War on Drugs has and is still a war on people of color, the poor, political dissidents and a form of population control. When and how will we abolish this war and make peace with drugs?

For almost 20 years, I've been reading and studying the Bible every day. Writing down what I hear allows me to think more clearly. Despite the fact that I have been diagnosed with Stage 1 cancer, I have faith in God. I began writing poetry about my experience, and I'll share another with you today. I'm having greater difficulties now that I'm attempting to use my blog to tell my narrative of my cancer treatment. It appears that I have two email lists. One appears to be operating, but the other does not. Could you please do me a favor and react to the email notification you received? Do not be concerned if you are reading this on my blog.
