Strozier Lecture - January 12, 2021 Christopher Garland

Tonight's Strozier Lecture features Dr. Christopher Garland speaking on the topic of  “The Visual Rhetoric of Opioid Addiction, Abjection, and White Trash” 

Dr. Garland is an assistant professor of Writing and Linguistics in the College Of Arts and Humanities at Georgia Southern University. He has also taught at the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Florida. His writing has appeared in the Journal of Social and Economic Studies, Contemporary French and Francophone Studies, Writing Visual Culture, and Mediascape, as well as in the edited collections Hollywood’s Africa after 1994 (Ohio University Press) and Haiti and the Americas (University Press of Mississippi).
