Contemporary Classics April 13, 2021 Concertos by Asian Composers
Tonight on Contemporary Classics is a episode focusing on concertos by Asian composers. This episode was inspired by a concert performed by Keitaro Harada, who is the artistic director of the Savannah Philharmonic, with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. During this concert I was reminded of the interesting sound world of Asian composers and thought of how this would apply to an orchestra and a soloist. So I listened to a wide variety of concertos by Asian composers and I wanted to share what I found with you.
