MUSIC FROM THE WORLD, 18 JUNE 2021

Welcome to the 166th Episode of "Music from the World".

Each week we take a fascinating journey around the globe to hear one of the most diverse music blends anywhere on earth, from International legends to rising stars. Like Forest Gump says my show is "like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get".

Tonight's journey starts with a great symphonic rendition of a classic James Bond theme song, and a TV theme song that you've probably heard, but didn't realize it was written and conducted by an Argentinian legend.

We'll hear Czech and Chinese legends, Light rock from Pakistan, an Indian movie theme in Gujarati; and an Italian pop star. We'll play three songs in Japanese: one each of Jazz, J-Pop, and an indescribable fusion from one of the most talented musicians in the world.

As always we will pick it up toward the end with some light Serbian and Russian rock, and two Korean Hard Rock bands.

Tune in on July second at 5 PM for my annual "Patriots and Comrades" show with some of the most patriotic songs you will hear anywhere, complete with a history of the Star Spangled Banner.

Then on 9 July at 5 PM, I will present "The South Will Rise Again", with a great collection of classic Southern rock.

Then on 16 July at 5 PM, I will present "I Got the Blues"; Blues music from the USA and beyond.....
