Contemporary Classics February 15, 2022 Standing Wave Ensemble-20C Remix

Tonight on Contemporary Classics Creator Conversations, I have Rebecca Whiting, violinist for Vancouver, BC's Standing Wave Ensemble & Will Howie, recording engineer, who together co-produced the Standing Wave Ensemble's new album "20C Remix".  This is an interesting album with "remixes" by Canadian composers of music that inspires them.  The tracks on the album are:

3. Jennifer Butler: le merle noir  - An arrangement of Olivier Messiaen, le merle noir (1952)
4. Jordan Nobles: Walking in Claude’s Footstep - Based on Claude Debussy’s les pieds sur la neige (1909-10)
5. Jared Miller: Guilty Pleasures - .Based on John Adams’ China Gates (1977)
6. Christopher Mayo:  Oh Come Now, There is a Beautiful Place - Based on Reinhold Gliere’s Symphony No. 3 (1911)
7. Bekah Simms: Tenebrose - Based on Béla Bartók’s Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta, mvt III. Adagio (1936)
8. Nicky Lizée: Epiphora - Based on Justin Timberlake’s Cry me a River (2002)
