Repentance and Forgiveness
Good day, good people! God wants us to be patient and wait for the good to take place instead of taking matters into our own hands. Walk in repentance and forgiveness today!
Positive word of the day- forgiveness- the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven.
repentance- the action of repenting; sincere regret or remorse.
Scripture of the day- Romans 112:9-17-Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[a] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
Refusing to Dread
Adapted from the resource My Time with God - by Joyce Meyer
I recently returned home from doing a conference, got completely unpacked from the trip, and before I knew it, it was time to pack for the next one!
In this and many situations in life, there is a temptation to dread it, but I refuse to do so. Dread steals the life and enjoyment out of things, and it is foolish to dread doing something that we will inevitably have to do anyway.
I believe Jesus wants us to enjoy our lives to the fullest, and to me that means every part of my life, especially the everyday ordinary things. Enjoying life begins with right thinking, and we can choose to think right on purpose. Thoughts of dread only drain our energy and they never produce anything good.
How much time do you waste dreading things that you need to do? Why not make a decision to stop dreading and start enjoying? Life is a gift from God, and He meant for it to be enjoyed and appreciated. I believe that one of the ways we can say “Thank You” to Jesus for what He has done for us is to enjoy every moment that He gives us.
Prayer Starter: Father, grant me the grace I need today to do everything I do with joy and gratitude. Help me to never dread anything but to be strong in You and approach each task boldly.
