“Well, That’s Show Biz!”

11-20-2022

  • You are listening to [station ID]

  • Welcome to “well, That’s Show Biz!”. I am your host, Jeremy Freedman, and every week I bring you music from Broadway, Movies, and Entertainers along with some anecdotes, information, and commentary all based on a theme. This coming Thursday is Thanksgiving and so our theme this week is GRATITUDE.

  • What are you grateful for? I am grateful for family, friends, and being able to host this show. We are going to open the first set with a major staple of Thanksgiving, “Food Glorious Food” as the workhouse children from Oliver! Imagine what it would be like eating real food. Next we are going to hear Tommy from Brigadoon singing about how grateful he is that he met Fiona with “There But for You Go I”. This version is sung by my cousin, Ethan Freeman. Then Julioe Andrews sings about “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music. And finally we are going to hear about the abundance of food in the song “Abbondanza” from The Most Happy Fella. Here’s “Food Glorious Food” from Oliver!

  • You just heard “Food Glorious Food” from Oliver!, my cousin, Ethan Freeman, singing “There But For You Go I” from Brigadoon, Julie Andrews singing “My Favorite Things” from The Sound Of Music. And “Abbondanza” from The Most Happy Fella as we ruminate on Thanksgiving and Gratitude on this edition of “well, That’s Show Biz!”.
