  • Welcome to “well, That’s Show Biz!”. I am your host, Jeremy Freedman, and every week I bring you music from Broadway, Movies, and Entertainers along with some anecdotes, information, and commentary all based on a theme.

  • We are celebrating Mothers today with songs sung by mothers, songs sung to mothers, and songs about mothers, all types of mothers and mother figures.

  • We are going to start off with Liz Callaway singing “The Story Goes On” from the delightful show Baby which is about three couples about to give birth. Then we are going to hear Ann Reinking and the Chicago Ensemble sing about “Me and My Baby”. Next, the song “Baby Mine” was original from the Disney movie Dumbo but was also sung by Bette Midler in the movie Beaches. We are going to hear that version. And finally, the Broadway cast of Hairspray will sing “Mama, I’m a Big Girl Now”.  Here’s Liz Callaway with the tale of Motherhood, “The Story GToes On” from Baby.
