Complete Short Stories

Franz Kafka

Franz Kafka had vision — albeit something best described as surrealist, even nightmarish. His unique perspective took on bureaucracy, families, and the foibles of the human condition. Not always quoted, he is remembered for his (ahem) transformative novella Metamorphosis … and all things absurd are often labeled “Kafkaesque.” This week, Leigh, P. T., and Dr. C examine some of Kafka’s less well-known short stories, including “On Parables,” “The Hunter Gracchus,” and “A Report to the Academy.”
