Contemporary Classics November 7, 2023 Nic Gerpe
Tonight on Contemporary Classics I have pianist Nic Gerpe, who this past March released a compelling album “The Makrokosmos 50 Project” celebrating the 50th anniversary of George Crumb’s landmark piano work Makrokosmos, Volume 1. This album which features Nic performing George Crumb’s Makrokosmos, Volume 1 along with 12 companion pieces that Nic commissioned which complement and pay homage to the 12 zodiac inspired movements of the original work.
