Welcome to “well, That’s Show Biz!”. I am your host, Jeremy Freedman, and every week I bring you music from Broadway, Movies, and Entertainers along with some anecdotes, information, and commentary all based on a theme.
This is the last show of my second year as host of “well, That’s Show Biz!”. Next week is my 2nd Anniversary Show and the start of my third year on the air. So this week’s theme is Finales to commemorate the end of my second year.
We are going to open the first set with “Spread the Love Around”, the upbeat Finale to the Broadway musical Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy. Then we will hear the original killer dillers, Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera, singing “Nowadays” from Chicago. And we will conclude this set with the Finale of A Chorus Line, the reprise of “One”. Here’s “Spread the Love Around” from Sister Act.
