March 26, 2024 Warrior Women Part II

Warrior women have stood as protectors support of hearth, home, community, and country.  This has manifested itself in support of egalitarian systems such as socialism; support of working people, striking for better pay and working conditions; and suffrage to participate in the governing of the USA.   Throughout history, women have typically stood in opposition to war, capitalism, and imperialism.   For their words and actions, women have been arrested, tried and convicted in violation of USA laws such as the Espionage Act and, denied political prison status, faced and endured inhumane conditions.  We celebrate these women, and their male companions, for their bravery and courage throughout the history of the USA, from the colonial times to today.

Tune in next week (4/2) at I07.5 FM in Savannah and wruu.org on the internet at II am for next week's conversation with Richie Clifton, who gained media attention in Savannah and nationally for creating a Little Free Library stocked with banned books.
