We are going to open our first set with “Kansas City” from the 2019 revival of Oklahoma!. Next we will hear “I Enjoy Being a Girl” from the original Broadway production of Flower Drum Song. Then, Oscar Hammerstein II revolutionized Broadway writing the lyrics for Show Boat, Jerome Kern wrote the music. We are going to hear the reprise of “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man” from the 1993 Studio Cast Recording of the 1946 Version. And we are going to conclude with Mary Martin singing “A Cockeyed Optimist” from South Pacific. Here’s “Kansas City” from Oklahoma!.
