June 18, 2024: When Happily Ever After Isn't

What happens when happily ever after isn't?  When staying together is more hurtful than parting?  On this episode of Voices of Reason, we talk about marriage and divorce with Dallas, our guest who has been through two divorces, both involving children.  He started by saying that when it comes to divorce, "you don't know what you don't know" and often pay a steep price for nor knowing.  As marriage rates fall and divorce rates remain stable, many of us will find ourselves needing to know, especially when children are involved.  Thank you to Dallas for sharing important information about the divorce process, insights into how to survive a divorce, and the special needs of children during and after a divorce.

Next week, all co-hosts have other obligations and we will feature a show from our not-too-distant past.  We will be back live in the studio on July 2.  Bring your thinking caps as we ask this question, paraphrased from a Frederick Douglass quote, "What does the 4th of July mean to...the indigenous and those enslaved in 1776 and to us in 2024?"
