  • Welcome to “well, That’s Show Biz!”. I am your host, Jeremy Freedman, and this is the show that brings you music from Broadway, Movies, and Entertainers along with some anecdotes, information, and commentary all based on a theme.

  • Summertime is the time of year that most people go on vacation. Two years ago we did the theme of Travel and it is time to look at the theme of Travel again.

  • We are going to open our first set on Travel with the dual songs “There’s No Cure Like Travel / Bon Voyage” from the 2011 Broadway revival of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes. Next we will hear the song “Jet Set” from Catch Me If You Can. Then, whenever someone asks me the question, “Where ya going?” I respond with “Barcelona”. It is usually met with silence. You will understand more with the song “Barcelona” from Stephen Sondheim’s Company. And we will conclude this first Travel set with another Sondheim musical, A Little Night Music as the cast prepares for “A Weekend in the Country”. Here’s “There’s No Cure Like Travel” from Anything Goes.
