Tonight on Contemporary Classics I am talking with Gil Rose, artistic director of the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.  Founded in 1996 by Gil Rose it has become the the premier orchestra in the United States dedicated exclusively to commissioning, performing, and recording music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.  On March 1, 2008 the Boston Modern Orchestra Project began releasing music on it’s BMOP/Sound label with John Harbison - Ulysses (Complete Ballet).  Tonight we will be talking about Gil Rose, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, BMOP/Sound.  And this past Friday, July 12th they released their 100th album John Alden Carpenter: Complete Ballets.
