Welcome to Four Centuries of Great Music.  On Today’s episode we will be playing classical music that was released in the month of July.  We open with Faure.  Again more music by Faure is not unexpected as 2024 is the 100th anniversary of the death of Gabriel Faure.  We open with GABRIEL FAURÉ: PELLÉAS ET MÉLISANDE, OP.80.  It is in 4 movements

Next is an interesting duo live album released in July of sopranos Nadine Sierra and Pretty Yende, two of today’s leading operatic prima donnas and close friends, took great delight in sharing the limelight at a sold-out Paris Philharmonie on 6 March 2023 sharing with alternating performances of the great classics of opera, operettas and broadway.  They are accompanied by Les Frivolités Parisiennes, conducted by Giacomo Sagripanti.
