June 3, 2025: Migration--It's What Living Things Do

All living things migrate--from seeds blowing in the wind; to animals seeking food, water and mating spaces; to humans who roamed freely until nation states created unnatural borders and determined who could and who could not enter (and leave).    

Voices of Reason and Resistance addressed the migrant "crisis" in the USA--as migrants seeking asylum at our borders are turned away and enter the country without documentation, came as children and stayed without documentation, and those with documentation who express dissent with USA policies are being hunted down, detained and deported, including to out-of-country prisons.

This has become a Constitutional crisis--judges overturn deportations that the Executive Branch refuses to abide by; the Constitutional is the law of the land but Constitutional rights are denied non-citizens lawfully in the USA; and deportees are denied due process.  We USA citizens not descended from America's indigenous or those brought to the USA to be enslaved are the sons and daughters of migrants.  Why do we remain silent?
