November 4, 2025: The We is Bigger than the I

On this (hopefully) historic day, NYC, the bedrock of capitalism, will elect its first democratic socialist mayor.  Could this be the beginning of a people's revolution?   Hosts Opollo, Robo and Barbara talked about what a socialist country might look like--government of, by and for the people; people before profit; affordable housing; universal healthcare; nationalization of natural resources, communities supporting each other through good times and bad, and an end to foreign wars and support for genocide.  May it be so.  

During our second hour, we segued to q conversation on the third annual Dairy Daze, dedicated to integrity, creativity, community and inclusivity.  Dairy days is presented by the 912 group and will feature music on two stages, immersive visual arts installations around the grounds, a “Forest Gallery” & bazaar supporting artists and non-profits with interactive & educational experiences, activities for children of all ages, food trucks and fun for all from on Saturday, November 15 from noon to 10 pm at the old Robards Dairy Farm, 2500 Tennessee Avenue, Savannah 31404.  

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit I is We Inc, whose mission is to empower underserved, high-risk, and at-risk youth.  Director Alonzo Truitt and his wife have been running this program on Savannah's east side to create change in the lives of at-risk children through mentorship, counseling, and skill-building workshops, including the Lunch-n-Learn Program that empowers participants to develop conflict resolution skills, emotional intelligence, and empathy towards others.  Tickets to the 2025 Dairy Daze can be purchased at https://www.the912group.org.
