February 17, 2026: Medical Racism & Unsung Heroes & Sheroes

Voices of Resistance hosts Opollo, Barbara and Robo welcomed Dr. Frederick Gregory in the studio to discuss unsung black medical researchers and physicians such as Dr. Gregory, a native Savahhanian, to tell his story.

Dr. Gregory, with a BS from Morehouse College, PhD in Neurobiology from UCLA, and postdoctoral training and teaching first at Emory University then at the University of Iowa, discussed his work at the US Army Research Lab, with focus on preparing for life in 2050, focusing on US Army modernization strategy and non-medical approaches to understanding the potential of humans situated in and reacting within complex social, technological and socio-techological systems.   In laymen's terms, Dr. Gregory is studying and supporting research in how humans will adjust to life in a future driven by AI and other advanced technological systems.
