When The Moon Sings - August 11, 2018

This week, P. T. Bridgeport interviews Gale Steves, of the Arts Resource Collective - Savannah.  Gale is a fascinating person who participates in the Savannah art scene and indeed, in wider areas as well.  ARC has just published a new map of Savannah galleries, and is distributing it throughout the city.

Also this week - Tom Caufield, Back To Earth, and Wim Mertens, among others.

Wim Mertens is a Belgian of Flemish descent.  He's been composing and playing for thirty years, and his music has been adapted for a wide variety of purposes, including the Belgian government's commemoration of WWI and the Sewdish Armed Forces.  He's also scored movies and theater productions.

Back To Earth consists of the brother Tomas and Bruno Hasler, Liechtensteiners who now work in Switzerland,  They are both  multi-instrumentalists, and have gotten quite a bit of attention in Europe over the past several years.

The piece this week from Tom Caufield is not exactly typical of his music, but then I'm not sure what is typical of his music - he covers many different emotional angles.  It's from his album, Nature and The Constant Illusion.
