When The Moon Sings September 15, 2018
Let's start with a classic Miles Davis cover of Round Midnight. This one is special because it has both Miles and John Coltrane at their very best. There are also some new names - Charles Van Deursen and Holland Phillips. Charles is home cooking all the way - he hails from and records in Claxton GA. Holland Phillips is releasing his seventh album on September 25th, and we have a cut called Leaning Toward Home. We also have Ryo Fukui from his Mellow Dream album, My favorite Icelander, Olafur Arnalds, one of my favorite non-Icelanders, Roger Eno, and another of Karen Marie Garrett's piano ruminations. All this and the soapbox too. Join us.
