C. P. Snow

In a 1959 lecture, C. P. Snow stated that British universities paid too much attention to the arts and humanities and too little to science. It created an uproar. Most people conceded it was true, but preferred it left unspoken. In 1960, Snow published a book declaring that scientific decisions were based as much on committee politics as science itself, which created another uproar. How are we doing sixty years on?
