Four Centuries of Great Music July 23, 2023 Full Body Orgasmic Scream Episode 8

Today on Four Centuries of Great Music we are concluding our series of episodes entitled Full Body Orgasmic Scream - the title coming from as I explained that back in March of this year there was a cry that come out at a Los Angeles Philharmonic concert during a concert of Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony which was described as a Full Body Orgasmic Scream.  I am sure you have not let out a full body orgasmic scream during a concert, but I am also sure there are classical music works that make you tingle all over and that is what I am presenting as part of this series.  Today we are back to works for full orchestra.

We begin with Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.  It is in 6 movements:
